d.b. Roderick, Head of IIL Media, Appointed to the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2026 Jury

July 9, 2026

International Institute for Learning (IIL) is proud to announce that d.b. (David) Roderick, Head of IIL Media, has been appointed to serve on the jury of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2026.

This prestigious appointment brings IIL Media to an international panel of corporate film and media specialists, filmmakers, and marketing and communication professionals, tasked with evaluating some of the world’s best corporate productions and documentaries.

“Storytelling did not begin in Hollywood. It began in the voices of the African griots, and it has carried through every great mind of literature and film since,” said David. “Serving on the jury of the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards is an honor rooted in that tradition.

This prestigious appointment comes on the heels of David’s receiving the Grand Remi Award for Best Screenplay for The Weight of Wind at the 59th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival in 2026.  One of the world’s oldest independent film festivals, Worldfest Houston selected David’s screenplay from more than 3,200 entries representing 74 nations.

“IIL has allowed me to cross over from film and television into the corporate world, telling stories to and about corporations and business organizations around the globe. The art of storytelling, whether visual or literal, thrives in that environment, and at IIL we do it well,” David said.

We are incredibly proud to see David’s expertise recognized on this global stage. Congratulations, David!
