Dave Nichols
Dave is the Executive Director of the DVMS Institute. Dave spent his “formative years” on US Navy submarines. There, he learned complex systems, functioning in high-performance teams, and what it takes to be an exceptional leader. He took these skills into civilian life and built a successful career leading high-performance software development and information service delivery teams.
In 2015, Dave led the team that created the accredited (APMG International), Certified (NCSC/GCHQ-UK), and Recognized (DHS-CISA-NICCS) NIST Cybersecurity Professional (NCSP®) training scheme and certification training programs.
In 2005, Dave launched ITSM Solutions LLC with Janet Kuhn and Rick Lemieux and spent nearly two decades creating and delivering service management certification training and consulting programs to Fortune 500 companies across the globe.

Yet, a thriving publication called Data Breach Today indicates that the plethora of advice hasn’t moved the needle much on the state of cybersecurity. Perhaps cybersecurity isn’t the problem.
